Bonds
In the last section, we discussed about atoms and many of their properties. Today, we will be looking at how some of these properties result allow them to make up everything that we see around us. They work together, creating bonds and forming molecules to build our world from the ground up. Even atoms know that teamwork is dreamwork!
Covalent, Ionic, and Metallic Bonds
In this video, we see the different types of bonds that are formed by elements, and how the metallic property of the elements changes which types of bonds that they take up. Watch now to learn more!
Intermolecular Forces
Now that we know what atoms are and how they interact with each other to form molecules, we can talk about how those molecules themselves interact with each other with intermolecular forces to define many of the properties that we can see around us, like surface tension and viscosity.
